What’s been happening:

After teaching for 10 years I went to work in the political/government arena. I spent 12 years in Harrisburg working in the House, Department of Environmental Resources and then the Senate. The state senator I worked for was elected to Congress, so I moved to Washington, D.C., to serve as his chief of staff. After 14 years in D.C., I moved back home to Palmerton, PA, to spend more time with my family. Now I am working in county government as Carbon County's Director of Planning and Development.
